I am goining through a similar situation so I can sympathize. On 1/30/09 (this day will live in infamy) I went the barbers got my hair washed and noticed this particular barber was hevy-handed which should have been a clue right way as to how he would handle the clippers. He proceeds to cut and I could feel him cutting me, pressing a little too hard on my skin. I leave, go home, preoccupied with going out fwith riends and such so because there was no pain I thought it was probably a burn, but nothing sugnificant. The next day I began to feel "weird" which brought me back to the incident immediately. I looked in the mirror and could now see the line from mid to right forehead and also at left nape. The second day after incident I began to feel fluish a little under the weather. The following week I had an extreme headache and muscle aches all with fatigue and fluish symptoms. Since then I have had the following at various intervals: headaches, mucles aches, what appears to be a rash, occasional nausea, mild sweats, thinning hair, and now tender/mildly swollen lymphnode under the left jaw (cervical lymphnode). Though I'm not freaking out, I am very concerned and have taken 2 hiv rapids tests 1 at 4 wks and 1 and 8 wks along with a PCR test at 8 wks. All have been negative so far but, due to my symptoms and the fact that they are not pychosomatic (manafestions of physical ailments do to extreme mental anxiety), I'm still not out of the woods yet. My advice to you is to begin testing because you never know and you want to be sure. Next time I go to the MDs I'll need to ask for a Hep panel test as well, because I'm sure I contracted something. Hope this helps..Good luck.
