I'll keep your advice in mind.
Thanks a lot, Vance.
Sorry but no luck is needed...something you have to believe. With this anxiety and going into the medical field...I suggest a therapist to help you along because your not going to be able to handle the field with anxiety like this.
Thanks everyone :)
I am a medical student here in Taiwan and I constantly ruin my life on worrying things. I'm going to have a health test tomorrow that includes HIV test. So IF I'm positive my mom will know. I'm so nervous.
I wish to save more lives in the future.
I hope that I could go through this obstacle in order to fulfill my dream.
It's warm here at medhelp. Thanks a lot you guys :)
Please wish me luck!!!
Sincerely, Stephen
Different websites are full of idiots. Go into the Expert forum and search kissing and HIV and you will see answers from 2 Expert Dr's in the field of HIV say no risk time and time again.
You might want to find another doctor that knows about HIV and the correct modes of transmission.Obviously,he doesn't.
It seems so obvious at medhelp that the risk of kissing is zero.
But how come there are different opinions at different websites?
If the answer is obvious, what about other answers?
Is it a lack of update or something?
Talk to your Dr, we can't tell you why he did or said anything.
Thanks, RainLover71
So is my doctor just freaking me out?
haha......Why did he do so then?
Is there something wrong with his major?
Or is he just being conservative?
But on the other hand, when you say that it is technically no risk, you mean that you can't reach a certain amount of blood, am I right? So there must be a certain amount of blood that takes kissing to the risk that cannot be performed technically.
So my questions, how much HIV+ blood is necessary to reach the chance of transmitting HIV?
1.That's right 2.correct.
I feel a much better now, thank you Teak.
So can I make a conclusion that:
(1) The amount of blood doesn't count.
(2) Kissing isn't a risk only because of the enzymes and proteins in saliva.
Thank you.
You don't see anywhere that it says VERIFIED. Kissing is not a risk of HIV transmission.
Thanks for your quick reply, Teak.
But I have still a question is that:
The CDC says that there IS actually one documented case that indicates HIV can be transmitted by deep kissing. How can you explain that?
Thank you
Technically, you never had a risk. Saliva contains over a dozen different enzymes and proteins that inhibits HIV.
You said that HIV is not transmitted by kissing.
Is it theoretically speaking?
Or is it technically speaking?
Thank you.
HIV is not transmitted by kissing.
