Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP) and Gullian Barre syndrome. These conditions can be triggered by hiv infection. They are rare but they are associated with hiv and effect the immune system. does anyone have informtion on this.
, twice. the reason i ask is because i tested at the appropriate times and it was neg but this is an autoimmune disease, i have had continual systems that seem very hiv related like pimples on test, sores in mouth.
i was given pep but it was administered too late 10 days after the incident i was told not to finish it only took for 13 days, i tested at 40 post exposure neg and then again at 98 days(14 weeks post neg) but i guess it would have been 75 days post the last dose of pep. it has been a big mess this whole thing. i shouldnt even be here asking questions i went to the doc about my muscles and he suggested we test again befor seeing a neruologist so this one will really be conclusive i would have thought that the other test were conclusive that is why i never bothered to ask any questions on here only the tests will tell me, but then i was confused when they were neg and my muscles kept twitching.
yes u are right i only know that now, at the time i was just given some pills in really old hospital in argentina i didnt really undertand what they were for at the time i didnt start them until ten days after so i guess they were ineffective. i tested 14 weeks post the exposure and then i realised it would have been 75 days after the last dose of pep. so i need to test again?
