do i have hiv?
Dear Doc,
i was in india for a month.Right before my trip came to a end i had protected sex with a hiv+ person. She put a moods latex condom on and gave my oral. i then had sex which merely lasted 1 min. This was my first time having sex. I then took the condom off my penis and waited a min to think of what to do. I ran downstairs to the bathroom and filled the condom with water to check for leaks because i kinda have a OCD. I then dropped the condom satisfied it was not leaking and washed my hand. I then took the soap and lathered the soap onto my hands. I didnt run the soap under the water. Then i used that same soap to clean my urethra or the head of my penis. I quickly had this burning sensation due to the soap enter the urethra. I quickly urinated so nothing would into my system. I then masterbated just so i can clean theat part of the genitals. The remainder of the day i was very tense and scared. I had a bit of tiredness. The next day i woke up with a dizzy feeling. That night was my flight back to America. I was very tensed i had chills and a weird dizziness feeling. I slept all throughout the flight. The next day i arrived in America and was quite dizzy. I went to sleep early and woke up very early. I then developed a sore throat and my lymph glands were swollen. I went to the doctor and he told my to take avelox and allegra. Its been exactly a week and i cant seem to sleep. i wake up in the middle of the night. My feet stay having this cold feeling. I got tested with a rapid testing for hiv but came out negitive. Im only 20 and im very scared to tell my parent that i did have sex but i have told them my syptoms and they dont wanna hear i have something. They are very strict and this was my first time having sexual encounters with a women so i got carried away. Is it possible in infected ? Is possible the hiv could have been on the soap when i applied to the penis? Is it possible for me to have these symtoms in this short time period?

And what Lizzie meant by when the condom rupture is when u r done having sex the head of your penis is exposed...and if that did not happen which as u said in your 1st comment IT IS A ZERO RISK FACTOR...

she is sexually active and has sex without condoms many times cause their unaware of the risks ....it is india......they have very few std clinics in all of india.which is hard to believe...wouldnt thaat say something?

listen to me ! ! ! using a condom...that did not rupture...PROTECTED you from hiv. nothing you did...NOT ONE THING...put you at risk for hiv. dont you think that if there was a chance...even a remote chance...that you had a genuine risk, that we would tell you to test?????

What u r experienceing now is Anxiety afraid Of getting HIV...Which u did not have and i'm saying again you had protected sex so u did not have a risk of contracting HIV..
If u go on feeling like this your anxiety will take over u and your immune system will be low then other sicknesses will arise

its not that i want to be filled with stress but it scares me lizzie. like im only 20 and i had sex for the first time. i try to forget but then i get these random feeling like waking up uninteruptedly in the middle of the night and my body aches. And i was having a beautiful dream. And i cant go back to sleep so i feel i need to know more. Im sorry if i really got your carried away. I dont have a relationship like that with my parent so the computer is all i have : (

sorry i meant having the acute hiv syndrome symtoms early on or right after infection?
does having hiv early after infection mean you could aquire aids much early in the course of the infection?
ohh and is possibe to test positive a week or two after contraction? I did talk to a hiv help line and they said there is a oral test you can take 2 weeks after after and get a negitive 100% or a false possitive not so 100%
i have one question is it possible that when the virus was on my hands and i touched the soap without running the soap underwater that the virus could have survived on the soap. Then when i cleaned my urethra with soap the virus could have infected me that way?

wat could my symtoms be from then i wake up interupted and cant go to sleep. my lymph glands hurt more and more could it be some other other infection? i hardly get sick
