went to doctor and said are you sure its not shingles. he said yes, but i dont belive him. he said if it blisters come back. my butt hurts allittle. have not look at it. the bumps on my arm look like there going to blister sooon. i read that if you are hiv than it may take a little longer to crust over. that is me. oh teak  i  called yale hospital, and they said there is a blood test for this. i should of gotten one. done. it is so obvious that this is shingles. dont understand why doctor has to wait for it too blister. this all goes back to what i was saying in the beginning. my immune got hit hard, i lowered my immune after exposure by drinking mostly everday. now my immune system is comming back and that is why i got shingles. .

There are no diagnostic tests for shingles. There are tests done for differentiation of herpes zoster from localized herpes simplex. No doctor is going to run a test. They can look at the signs and know from visual appearance. You don't need to try to tell me anything about shingles I've had them. If you would have had shingles you would have been put on medication immediately.

i had shingles , i am 55 years old , and very stressed, stress has alot to do with it. shingles follows a dermatome from your spine you can google that and the see the path of the dermatomes. usually only one maybe two dermatomes. but they are usually side by side not far apart. if he would of thought it was he would of put u  on meds very quickly. they can run an igG or igM for the virus to see if they are elevated but by the time that comes back you would no for sure anyway.
