early antibody hiv test

I had an antibody HIV test 16 day after anal sex (condom broke).  The doctor said it was neg, but i should come back in 4 more weeks, and agaian in 6 months.  I understand it measures my bodys response to the disease so it may not be acurate.  Can anyone give me a ball park as to its acuracy?  I also did the blood drop early detection test they do write in front of you after 7 days.  He told me that may be too soon to detect also, it was neg.  My sysmtoms are only
1) Lymph swell in my groin.  This began about 3 days after contact and continue today, lightly swollen.
2) upset stomach and mild diahrea, also about 3-4 after contact, might be from stress?
3) wt loss ive lost about 8-10 lbs, but Ive also been soooo stressted I havent been eating.

I plan on getting the RNA test tomarrow on Monday day 18 to get a better idea.  The stress is killing me.  Please advise

Take a fourth Gen test at 4 weeks.

You can take another at 8 weeks plus.

6 months is old and outdated information.

Take care.

16 days is too soon. I would take the HIV Duo test 30 days post exposure. The symptoms you describe are too generic and can be attributed to a number of conditions. You do however need to be tested as you undertook a higher risk activity (although even for high risk activities the chance of HIV infection is still small). I commend you for undertaking safe sex and it is very unfortunate that the condom broke, in itself rare.
