early hiv symptoms-unprotected vaginal sex with escort

I had unprotected vaginal sex with an escort girl. I did not notice any sorts of infection on her body, but of course i cannot be completely sure. Though I see myself as a smart person about HIV statistics, it was still so much incredibly dumb thing to do, so i have noone to blame other than myself. 5 days later I walked in the cold and extremely windy weather for like an hour. on the 6th day, i felt fever and sore throat. I went to doctor, he told me I had tonsillitis and gave me antibiotics. Now (8th day) the pain in my throat is almost gone, though white spots can still be seen. there is healing due to antibiotics perhaps.

However, the thing that scares me to death is I read the early symptoms of HIV include fever and sore throat, so I do not really know if my condition is due to weather, or due to exposure to HIV.
I contacted the girl via e-mail, and she told me I can be 10000% sure she does not have any STDs, because she tests regularly, but this does not help me.
I cannot also get the Elisa test, because I know it is very early to take the test.
I feel so much desperate for this, and I wanted to see if anybody here could tell me more.
Please don't remind me how stupid I was, because that's maybe the only thing at the moment I know for certain.

Maybe its coincidental ... as im sure ARS (symptoms related to hiv infection) dont show up until a few weeks into infection. Id wait for lizzie, teak or vance to weigh in. Also hiv symptoms arent very reliable as they represent symptoms for alot of other things. so.. just dwell too much on it and just wait it out. If you go for a duo test, the doctors on here say they have a very high % rate of accuracy after 6 weeks but ofcourse the 3 month window is conclusive.

dont worry rowland you are ok.  am going through such fear since i have pimples on my forehead which develop as small pimples and grow bigger by the day.  and a burning effect on my chest and a sorethroat for the last one week.

ARS symptoms come at 2-4 WEEKS after infection and last for 1-2 weeks.  your "symptoms" are NOT indicative of hiv infection.

with that being said...you DID put yourself at risk by having unprotected sex.  IF she had unprotected sex with YOU...she has probably had it with other customers too.   you can do a test 6-8 weeks post exposure for a good indication of your status...but follow up at 3 months for a conclusive result.
