tonsils now for about a month now i have had some headaches but no other symptoms but i am really worried about my tonsils. I haven't really had a sore throat
my neck groin or amrpit arent swollen and havent had any other symptoms in the past 3 weeks.
the symptoms i first had was a very sore throat, dry cough swollen neck glands that werent painful and just generally not feeling well. theses all happend about 12 days after the enounter.i have had a couple night sweats aswell but not as if the sheets were soaking or anything but they were slightly wet but i think this is down to the anxiety. i had a racing heartbeat and at one point i was short of breath but i think that was me reading stuff on the internet as my anxiety has been out of control recently. i think it may have been a panic attack.
i had just came back from a lads holiday and a couple of my friends werent well on holiday either.
my tonsils are still not going down they are not white and they are not sore but they are really buggin me its a few weeks now they have been swollen and still have an irritating throat.
i have been feeling like this ever since i got back from a lads holiday were a couple of my other mates were ill but they all seem to be ok now.
i am now experiencing pins and needles and weird pains throughout my back and legs do u think this could be a symptom of hiv or just my anxiety?
my tonsils are still swollen thats 6 weeks now!! and my tongue is still pretty white although it comes and goes throughout the day and it is not painful.
i have had no other symptoms recently apart from these.
i am only 17 years old and i have my whole life ahead of me and i am petrified i have hiv can anyone help?
i went to the doctor 2 weeks ago and she said that tonsils can take a while to go down and she expects them to go down but its still not happened yet and the white tongue is still there.
if it was oral thrush would it be painful ?
my throat isnt sore and neither are my tonsils my throat is just a little red.
i have spoken to my mum and dad and told them evrything as i couldnt hide it from them they knew there was something heavy on my mind when i came back from holiday.
when i mention pins and needles and the weird pains to my mum and dad they think its just my anxiety but i don't think it is i think it is hiv.
i am going to go bak to the doctor tomorow because i am starting to worrry again because i was ok when i found out me neg results for chlamydia and gonnorea.
i just cant believe i made the stupid mistake in the first place just shows u what alcohol does to u
ever since i have been feeling unwell i have been loooking at life totally different and realising how lucky i am and how stupid i have been i am just praying to god i do not have hiv and i can move on with my life.
iv never valued life so much until this whole episode has happened.
Perhaps you should just have your tonsils removed if they are bothering you that much. You could easily have a case of tonsilitis, or even strep throat. In either case both need to be treated otherwise they can persist for quite a bit of time.
over the past 2 days i have had pelvic pain and pain in my back and have been slight pains in my hands and back. i have been also feeling uncomfort in my kidneys.
none of these things are really that sore they are uncomfortable they feel like a kind of electric shock pins and needles feeling like an ache for maybe 5 seconds.
i still have my swollen tonsils but none of my lymph nodes are swollen.
i dont think i have a fever reason i see that is because i dont have a thermometer in my house and don't know how ot teset for a fever otherwise.
i have a doctors app on friday but would just like to know what anyone thinks i may have .
it has been 7 weeks since my exposure and was wondering with these pains just starting to *** on is this past the sereconversion stage?
just to add on to that comment i havent been having a sore throat but the past 2 days iv been feeling a kind of lump in my throat even though there isnt anything there.
i went to the doctor that my tonsils aren't really anything to worry about the left tonsil is hardly swollen but the right one is slightly.
she never mentioned anything about my tongue which i am guesseing is a good thing.
she took my temeperature and that was fine and my nodes in my neck wer not swollen.
she thinks that it may have been glandular fever that i had and it is still lingering as it can last a while. i mentioned the pins and needles and muscle twitching and she said that this may be my nerves.
i never told her about my exposure though do you think this would have changed her opinion on what my symptoms are.
now that is 7 weeks my tonsils have been swollen for is this not awful unusual and a sign that i have hiv? or have they been swollen for too long for it to be hiv?
my stomach has also looks as if it kind of beating but not at the same beat of my heart what is this a sign of?
Wow man you really have a bad case of anxiety. I don't know what your exposure was but I do know one thing for sure. If you believe that your symptoms, which have been going on for 7 weeks now, are possibly from HIV than nothing is going to calm you down until you get a test. So why don't you just go do that and put your mind at ease. It's easy, quick and painless and this way you can stop worrying about it.
my exposure was vaginal sex with a sex worker and the condom broke the sex was only 5 minutes but i do not know how long i was exposed for i was very drink i know its not an excuse and all i can remember is looking down and the condom was basically ripped to shred with just a little bet left on my penis . 12 days after the encounter i sarted experiencing my first symptom. list of my symptoms are at the start of this thread.
