A very large majority of people who post here are exactly the same in that they feel guilty about what they did and that makes them sure that they have HIV. But that is just not the case. Guilt does not make a person have HIV. I've been a long time lurker on this board, over 2 years, and only recently registered and I've never seen anyone who posted here about their question test positive for HIV. I've seen thousands of posts with people who feel guilty and who are convinced they have it even in circumstances where infection isn't even possible. It's all just guilt, nothing more than that.

Tina I wouldn't worry so much about why the printed test says to test again in 3 months. That's not the important thing. Its probably a standard printed form that everyone gets from that lab.

The important thing for you is what you've already been told which is to test 3 months after your last unprotected exposure for a conclusive result. That's all you need to know. And always use condoms because besides HIV there are a lot of other STds that are a lot easier to catch that can easily be avoided when you use a condom.

so if he said he was negative, why did you test in the first place?

are you aware that you can have sex with someone, who is hiv positive, MANY times and never get infected...your test will be negative.  then you sleep with that same person, who is hiv positive and didnt infect you, and BAM...you just contracted hiv?

START OVER...3 months post your last exposure.

USE CONDOMS ! ! !   geeeeeez

"i had unprotected sex with only 1 person first time i slept with him was 11 weeks 4 days after exposure then i stupidly slept with him again and tested again after 2 weeks was negative again"

so after you had unprotected sex again...2 weeks later...you waited another 3 months and tested?
