if someone found out they were pos, they would NOT run to a forum and ask questions, seems like hes trying to stir up drama. I agree with Lizzie completely. Furthermore, the folks at aidsmeds also maintain that oral is minimal risk. I agree that there is a miniscule risk, but I don't know if there are a significant amount of cases to warrant calling it a true risk. Who knows.

I just thought that there were no documented cases of hiv transmitting thru oral sex, like i heard that unprotected sex female to male is a very rare occurence and mostly happens in subsaharan countries where viral loads are higher due to lack of medicine and other such things .. I am sure i am  proably incorrect though

Ya as to what i have read and to what my doc told me..its very difficult for female to transfer hiv to a male(i got my second chance after doing something as stupid as this)...but there is a risk....it does not happen always but it may happen...thats why protection is the best way to avoid hiv...

Thats kind of scary...I put the timeframe together and it looks like he tested positive (if not lying ) under 40 days (probably less as it was home test so probably under 35 days).  Also, who knows if he would have tested positive sooner had he taken an earlier test.

If you truly can get it from receiving oral as a man...than certainly you can get it by performing oral on a woman.  I do agree that that entire thread has holes in it.  I hope he comes back with further info.

At the risk of boring everyone again, my husband lied to each and every one of his doctors as to how he aquired HepC.  Since he seems honest, has a good job, clean cut, and is in general a likeable guy, they assume he is telling the truth.  This has gone on for a decade now.

Only I know he is a former IV drug user.  To his doctors, he's one of the "rare" sexually transmitted or unknown transmission cases.  

If he can lie, I know others can lie.  They don't want people to know the truth about how something was aquired.

Why would he lie under an anonymous internet name?  What did he have to gain by lying about his exposure when he was coming to the site (paying 15 bucks) and looking for help?  He was only hurting himself by lying to the doc about his exposure.  He came here BEFORE he knew he was HIV positive.

He was so convinced he was positive that he felt he couldn't admit he was wrong, that's what I think.

If that was his only risk, then he either lied about the result, or misunderstood that it was an unconfirmed test.  

Anyone who comes on here spreading doom and gloom, saying things like they are 100% sure they are positive, and have 9000 symptoms, rarely are.

I agree that its more likely he lied about the Positive result than the exposure.  Scary nonetheless.  Did he ever post in this "patient to patient" forum?  I would be curious to compare threads.

furthermore, there are FAR too many symptoms in his post to warrant HIV infection. It seems like he is going down each and every symptom (and adding new ones) as he goes along. I personally believe he is hysterical and doesn't want to admit his test came back negative.

I hope he is lying and his tests are negative. I also had sore throat, fever,nasal congetion and rashes after protective sex. Waiting for 28 day mark for pcr test. I know flue can also cause all this. Hope for the best.

As veryone has stated. worried93 sounded very emotional in his previous posts and conivinced he did have HIV. He could be telling the truth or telling a lie. everyone on her is a human so human factors come into play (lie, deceit, mental health). What is even worse about the internet is everyone is invisible and you really have to judge what they say. I am referring to this site as well (including myself) we are here to help but you really don't know who is writing you. So all that being said! And all the seriousness out of the way.

I think the dr by the way he sounds doesen't believe him at all , He told him not to post anymore because he is positive now .Maybe to stir him up a little since he doesent believe him . The poster was to ready in the beginning to believe he was positive no matter what test results came up as . I know i believe I was the only one with a risk and i had hiv . He posted it on Aidsmed as well.  Very Scary.  Would have been much scarier had he had an earlier negative test and then gone beyond 6 weeks.  Can you imagine all of us...the freakout session would be well under way at this point.

Yea, i got my 6 week negative for my low risk (oral me receiving) and now I'm a little scared again...because lets say he's telling the truth, he couldnt have gotten it if the condom was totally intact, correct? so the only explanation is that it was from the oral.  now, again assuming he's being truthful??...and if he did contract it from recieving oral...HOLL SH$T!!!

I was notified of this thread from someone on Aidsmeds.  I want to preface my response by saying that everything I have written has been 100% accurate.  There are no lies or exaggerations.  If you don't care to believe me, that is up to you.  I am being completely honest.  (It is frustrating that so many people call you liers when in reality all I'm looking for is support in the darkest days of my life.  But I digresss)

I will address the comments/questions that everyone has left in this thread, but I want to talk about a few things first.  

There is no way possible I could have contracted HIV via any other source.  Here is my sexual history:  Other than the situation I posted, I have not had sexual contact with anyone other than my girlfriend in the past 5 years.  I know that my girlfriend did not infect me because a)I tested negative 9 months ago due to a routine checkup.  b)She tested negative 3 days ago. c) It cannot be that she was in the "window" period and infected me because we have not had sex for 2 months (1 month I was in Europe and the other month b/c of our worries of the infection).  So if she was infected while we had sex it would have showed up on her test 3 days ago.  (Obviously she hasn't had sex with anyone else, but I was just proving to the naysayers that even if she had, it wasn't possible for this to be the exposure)

I have never seen a drug let alone used one.  There are no other possible exposures for me.  This is it.

Now I will address the questions/comments/concerns that are posted in this thread from top to bottom:

I did have a risk.  Like I stated in my original post, I said I thought the condom broke in the 2nd occurance, but noone believed me.  Having unprotected vaginal sex is a risk, albeit small for one time.  The condom broke, there was a risk, and although unlucky, this is how I contracted HIV.

I am telling the absolute truth about everything I posted.  I didn't run to the forum to post after receiving my results.  However, I was fairly certain that I was positive before receiving my results, so when I called and got them I was not completely surprised.  Since I know absolutely noone with HIV, this forum and AidsMeds are the only places I can go to get comfort/information/etc.  I am posting because I need answers during this dark time.

I admit the purple mark on my penis was nothing and was not a sign of HIV.  All of the symptoms were manifesting and I thought this was one as well.  I think it was just due to dry humping with my girlfriend. (since we agreed not to have sex until the results came back)

There is obviously nothing I can say to prove to you this was the only possible exposure.  You can believe me or not, it really doesn't matter and I don't care much.  I truly wish I was lying about being positive or that I was lying about any of this.  Its all a nightmare I will have to deal with until I pass away.

My girlfriend said the exact same thing to me.  My seroconversion was the type where I had alot of symptoms.  It truly looked like I was going through the list and just naming them off at random.  I had every symptom that I posted about; in fact I had more but didn't post as I thought it would ruin my credibility and the Dr. wouldn't believe me.  If anyone wants to know my symptoms I can post them, although at this time its irrelevant.

I agree.  Any random person can come on here and lie.  You have no duty to believe me and don't have to.  All I can say is that I have been 100% truthful in everything I have said.  I am not saying I contracted HIV due to oral.  I contracted it due to the condom breakage.


Ok, in all honesty I don't know why I made this long post, but for some reason it makes me feel better to talk about it.  I cannot be in denial and posting on these forums is therapeutic for me.

I am going to a clinic next week to get tests done for confirmation.  Home Access is 99% accurate, so I know what to expect, but I need to get started at this process.  If anyone has more questions I will check this thread or you can pm me.

Its very sad to believe/see from everyone's opinion that he was a lier. We cannot visualise the real facts from the risk factors that might be involved. He always been updating in the AIDSMED forum and his nervousness doesnt suggest he might be lying. I guess you could say that now I am 100% certain that the condom broke b/c I tested positive and this was my only exposure.  However, at the time I was not 100% certain.  I did not check the condom for breakage after.

I had a brief thought at the time that it was broken/tore because when I came, there was no ejaculate at the tip/pouch of the condom.  I took off the condom and there was no *** on my penis either.  I thought this was a little strange, and as I was throwing the condom away I noticed the girl wiping the bed. (which is what was presumably my ejaculate)  

However, unfortunately  I dismissed it and didn't think much of it until I came down with the symptoms.  (Which I am beating myself up over b/c I maybe could have taken PEP and saved myself)

You would have known with out a doubt that you condomed had failed. You wouldn't have had to check it. You have not had a confirmative test and without it, you aren't positive.

As for me and maybe some of the others that read your thread it sounded like you were saying you got infected due to oral sex and not through a condom . If you would have originally posted in your thread about the semen on the bed and the broken tip at the end of the condom it would have probably changed many other peoples thoughts towards your situation and risk .I really hope the outcome of your next test comes out negative and I will pray for you ....

Long story short . I had a brief sex with sex worker 2005 May in which she gave me oral blow blow job but condom was intact in my penis , i came out little bit so instead she let me go and wash my penis she jumped on me and took my penis inside , why did she done it , i don't know may to infect me or justify money which she eventually get from me any ways . We had few jumps up and down i would say for 30 secs very brief then suddenly she pulled her self i was completely ejaculated while she was pulling herself condom was stayed in her vagina , i can see it was hanging in her vagina  i am not sure it was removed while my penis inside or it came out when she pulled herself out . I didn't had any symptoms accept one cold sore or out break after 3 weeks.But since 2006 May i have been sick, doctor discover that i am hashimotos/Hypothyroid and all my fatigue and other symptoms are because of that . I didn't test it it is being more then 2 years beside that i had no sexual exposure accept with my wife . I have no courage to perform test , i am just thinking to commit suicide . Teak and other did answer me but now i am wondering if i can have some list of symptoms with real life scenarios.

Is it true to get HIV even with HIV + person in one time incident is rare ?. You have to have repeatative incident ?. Or once you do un protective sex with HIV+ person you will be infected or it is also depend on viral load ?

No, it is not rare for a male to contract HIV from a female. It's just a lower chance.
No, it is not rare for a one time exposure to contract HIV.
No, you don't have to have repeated sex.
No, you don't always contract HIV if you have sex with a HIV+ person.

USE A CONDOM ALWAYS and you won't have to worry.

I don't want to upset you but you know my exposure and i am going through tremendous stress all i am thinking is negative and looking for excuse and way to ease my mind/body w/o performing test. According to u my exposure is zero risk , all i am thinking what if condom slip inside her vagina , then it shouldn't be hanging with her vagina when she pulled herself. go read his original post first (over in the doctor forum and then read the one now). We are not being skeptical. The story has changed more than Dennis Rodman's hair color. I gave a sincere apology after he came on and bashed us for talking about his post. I haven't been on here since, but now that I am back on and reading all the other ongoing posts he is writing. I am once again very skeptical. It doesn't add up. Someone that tests positive doesn't come and bullsh!t on a website. They would find out everything they could from the Hotline they called and got results from and then once doing that I would be standing at a clinic regardless of day/hour demanding an immediate retest. I will flat out say His story is very unbelieveable.

I fully agree with Extreme Stress.  His story has too many holes in it.  On this site, he said his symptoms completely disappeared and on aidsmed he said he was too sick to get out of bed.  Those statements were written about the same time.
