face fat loss

I realize that I've never been exposed to high risk of HIV infection, I've always used condoms and never experienced condom failure. I am also aware that HIV is not diagnosed on the basis of symptoms, but I was wondering whether face fat loss and redistribution of fat is caused by early HIV infection, anti-retro viral medications or long-term HIV infection that has progressed to AIDS?

Is of no concern to you. You don't have HIV or AIDS.

Google

Look it up under the term "lipoatrophy" and "lipodystrophy".

There is so much misleading and contradicting information available online.

Some articles state it's caused by few anti-retro viral medications, others state it's caused by long-term HIV infection which has progressed to AIDS, and I've run into very few articles which say that it appears in people who have had HIV for a while, which means an early HIV infection. Which one is correct?

With all due respect, but I didn't have my question answered.

Are facial fat loss and redistribution of fat due to early HIV infection, anti-retro viral medications or long-term HIV infection that has progressed to AIDS?
