fingering

I had an exposure last Friday with a prostitute, involving oral insertive protective sex, and fingering. Later I realised  that my fourth finger (between middle and small ones) had a small cut/nick that was healing - a scab had formed - definitely no blood oozing..

do i need to test for HIV?

Masturbation is not a risk has never been a risk and is not even theoretical. After 30 years of collecting data they absolutely know the mechanics of HIV transmission.

yes but why is it not a risk? to my mind, if vaginal infected fluid comes into  contact with blood there is some theoretical risk. or is it that the mechanics are not known but it has never been reported/documented?

Fingering is not a risk.. The only way to contract HIV is by having unprotected vaginal or anal sex and if you have shared IV works with other IV drug abusers.

could you kindly elaborate a bit as to why fingering is not a risk? if vaginal secretions containing HIV come into contact with a someone's blood isn't there a risk? or is it because once no blood is coming out of the cut, there is no contact with blood stream? sorry for bothering you, but i have never studied biology or medicine and maybe you can explain things more clearly to me. thanks in advance

Thanks for your quick reply.

I am concerned since i read that it is only intact skin which is a barrier to HIV transmission, and in this case the skin was not intact.

Once again, I thank you for taking time to educate me.

NO you do not need to test. What you do need, is to educate yourself on HIV transmission.
