having serious anxiety

Yesterday I was raped by a guy friend I've been seeing (Fwb ) he knew I didn't want to have vaginal sex with Jim yet talked me into it and pressured meI'm

As he was having sex. He stopped after a couple of mins and never came.

This was without a condom and I am scared for my life.

He's had multiple sex partners before me and I asked him if he has tested negative.

I was so I'm shock I didn't tell anyone until today.

He claims to have tested negative with everything and gets tested every 3 weeks or so, but I don't know if I can believe him. When I went to the clinic today, they gave me a urine and blood test and had me take the plan B contraceptive.

I wanted to have the medication known as P.E.P which prevents HIV in the first 72 hours if I believe I was exposed, but it wasn't prescribed to me and imfreaking out.

i'm not really seeing "the rape" here…you consented to have sex after he talked you in to it.

REGARDLESS…

you can have a duo test at 4 weeks or an antibody test at 6 weeks.  either of these will give you a very good indication of your status.  follow up at 3 months for a conclusive result

I don't care if it's not a law, bottom line is you were raped & should have been given the option of having nPEP prescribed.

A police officer that was bitten by a criminal in the UK that was HIV+ was given nPEP immediately. It's not a law but with rapes here in Australia it is almost always prescribed.

It is not a law that nPEP has to be prescribed.

nPEP has been given to people that have had protected sex with HIV+ people that have had no risk at all so there are inconsistencies but this case is serious & nPEP should certainly be an option for you.

Post prophylactic treatment is up to you and your doctor.

Ignore any internet advice.

It's not a law in the US that nPEP has to be prescribed. It's at the doctor's disgression .

Go & report him to police, they will make him have an HIV test and then what you need to do is test at 4 weeks with an HIV DUO which is 99% reliable & then a final test at 3 months. In a rape situation you can insist on PEP & they have to prescribe it to you by law in some states,go to the ER right now & ask for it.You need to be examined aswell with a rape kit.All the best.
