hiv, antibiotics, and lymph nodes

I'm a 28 year old guy. I had protected anal sex with a guy about 8 weeks ago. I also had receptive oral sex with him without a condom, and there was some precome.

About 5 weeks after the sex, the lymph nodes in my right armpit began to swell and it was very painful. A few days later the same thing happened to the lymph node in my left armpit. I had no other symptoms.

The doctor gave me a 10 day supply of antibiotics. The antibiotics reduced the swelling a lot, and by the 10th day the armpits were back to normal.

Unfortunately, a few days after I stopped taking antibiotics the lymph nodes began to swell again.

Is this a symptom of HIV? Having painful swelling, having antibiotics be so effective, and then having a recurrence? Please help me. I am going crazy until I get tested.

You didn't have a risk of contracting HIV.

But is there an answer to the question of whether an HIV infection would lead to the kind of problem my lymph nodes had: painful swelling, quick response to antibiotics, and recurrence after I finished the antibiotics?

Please help. They told me to wait 3 months to get tested, but I am truly going crazy.

You didn't have a risk and whatever if anything is going on with your lymph nodes should be seen by a doctor.
