hiv and wet enviroment

10weeks ago a friend of mine did sex with a sexworker in my flat. he said that the condom was broken during the sex. some hours after sex when i was arranging the room, I saw that condom near the bed and when i was taking it to the bin suddenly one of my fingers touched the condom, it was realy wet and watery and my finger got wet.

it seems when the condom was broken some vaginal fluid penetrated  in to the condom and when my finger toched the condom that body fluid was coming out from the condom, i had a bit cut on my finger that time, what is the chance getting HIV in that way, I'm very scarry about that. how long can HIV survive inside a condom?

2weeks after that I developed the following symptoms:
inflammation on throught,
fever,
joint pain (only in one knee)
tender glands on armpit
small red spots on one of my arms,

still i have periodic fever,

please help me with this issue,

With regard to your cut, they heal from the inside, thus making it close to impossible to be infected provided the cut wasn't actively bleeding.

A lot of web sites discuss theoretical risks, but the doctors and moderators on this forum are giving opinions based on hard, scientific data. No one gets HIV if they touched spoo on a condom, it does not happen. I don't know what else to tell you. If you don't believe me as Dr.'s hook, hansfield, Garcia or cummings - they will tell you what I  saying, if not giving an even stronger opinion - which will hopefully serve to negate your fears. Be safe

I have posted numerous times on this forum; the virus dies when it is outside the human body; period. When exposed to changes in light, temperature and ph it dies, it is a fragile virus and lacks the ability to replicate itself. You mention contact with the liquid several hours after the event; HIV would last a matter of seconds or minutes (at best) when outside the human body - furthermore no one has been exposed this way, so why would you be the first.

Regarding you cut, it doesn't tec

HIV is not known to infect people when it is exposed to the air. If you go to the CDC website it will tell you that no one has been infected off of an environmental surface; it is therefore it practically impossible for you to have been infected from this exposure. In order for infection to occur, the virus must be introduced deeply into the body, infecting susceptible cells. A surface scratch does not have such cells. Your systems are likely due to a cold or in could be pschosomatic. I am not a doctor but I know how you feel. I guarentee you will get the same response if you post in the doctor's forum.
