"how is hiv swollen lymph node different from the other?" HIV causes multiple inflamed nodes all over the body. You would have lumps in the neck (both sides), under the jaw, armpits, groin, and maybe other places. (Do NOT start poking yourself in those areas to look for them. If they aren't obvious already, then they are not abnormal.)
1) HIV2 is only being seen in people in parts of west Africa or who have had sex with partners there.
2) Yes, I am sure.
owww i am so happy to see your answers. thank you so much. please excuse my ignorance about every thing.

HIV never causes a single enlarged lymph node. You have some sort of localized infection. Also, the blood test ALWAYS is positive within a few days of onset of HIV symptoms. If your node were due to HIV, your test would be positive for sure.
1) There is little disagreement among experts about test reliability. Stick with professional websites. Four weeks is reliable for DUO, 6-8 weeks for the antibody-only tests.
2) "how can we say the combo is 99.89% conclusive after 28 days?" Because HIV2 is so rare. There are very few cases in industrialized countries.
3) As far as I know, the tests are the same in all industrialized countries. You might have found a particular clinic or doctor who considers the test not definitive, but most experts would not agree with that.
In any case, this is a community forum and most participants are nonprofessionals. Your own doctors probably is more expert than we are. You should ask him or her the same questions. In the meantime, settle down and stop worrying. You can be sure you don't have HIV.
