I'm guessing your anxious because this was either your first time having sex, or your first time with a prostitute. Either way, congratulations! :)

As long as the encounter you describe is accurate, you have no risk of contracting HIV.

First, as you say, the prostitute put a condom on your penis. Think about it, that means she practices safe sex, and more than likely it wasn't just because it was your first time. Remember sex workers use condoms to protect themselves, NOT their clients. This is evidence that this particular sex worker more than likely consistently practices safe sex, and therefore the odds of her actually having HIV is probably very low.

Second, you say you do not know the status of the condom. If the condom broke, you would have know it. When they break, they break wide open. If the condom was still on your penis, and the head of your penis was covered, you did not experience an exposure. I repeat, if your penis was COVERED by the condom after you finished..you have NO risk. And, in fact, you don't even need to test. Condoms(other than those made of animal skin), when they don't break or slip off, are 100% effective against the spread of HIV.

Third, depending on where you are in the world, and the type of sex you are having. Heterosexual female to male transmission is exceedingly rare. Of course, there are some exceptions to this rule. However, if you confine your sexual practices to heterosexual oral and vaginal sex, and couple that with the proper use of condoms, you have little to no worry about HIV.

Bottomline, you don't even need to be tested for this exposure. However, if you want to get tested, follow the suggestions already provided to you.

A 4th gen HIV/antigen DUO test is the only test that will give a conclusive result at 4 weeks.

A negative rapid test at 4 weeks will be very encouraging, but not conclusive until 6-8 weeks.  The 90 day waiting period is out dated.  Rapid tests are much more sensitive today compared to one's in the past.

What was your exposure?

No- usually rapid HIV tests can be conclusive after the 6th-8th week although many experts recomment the 90 day window period.

I would suggest you wait another month.
