hiv exposure! cut by sharp item! pls help me!! please please!

Hi there, my situation was that I went to a shopping mall and touched a display Tupperware (food container) which has broken surface that is sharp and cut my finger! It bleed after a few seconds being cut by the sharp surface but my cut dint keep on bleeding that serious but there was a small amount of fresh blood on my cut! I knew there might b people touching then Tupperware js a few seconds or less than 5 seconds before I touched the Tupperware n cut mydelf because there were many people shopping there. If the previous person also got cut by the sharp surface of Tupperware just less than 5 seconds before me and his or her blood was on d Tupperware that then cut me, will I got HIV if he or she has hiv?! Or I m just thinking too much? Because I see many posts in this forum saying that unless I had a deep cut that at least requires stitches in the hospital or else I wouldn't have any risk even js after 1 second later the hiv person left and I got cut by the Tupperware, right? And even the hiv blood was there on the sharp surface that cut me, I also wouldn't got infected even the next second I got cut once the hiv person left right, because once hiv virus is out of d human body then it wouldn't infect me anymore right? And also unless the hiv person cut or wound is rubbing against my cut only I will get infected right? Sorry for all my questions.. but I think I m having mental prob of keep worrying abt getting hiv in all kind of situation. Help me please! For normal people like us, we don't have to worry about getting hiv unless we have unprotected sex, sharing needles, mother to child right? And we normal people which are not working in health sector, shouldnt worry abt getting hiv from any cuts or wound or blood on any surface even the blood is very fresh like my situation above right? Please help me! thanks for ur patient and helps! Really really very much appreciated!! Thank you!!

Thanks a lot everyone for your firm answers!! So, I would not have to worry about someone left hiv blood on the sharp container just ONE second before the container cut me will infect me via my fresh cut that bleed a little due to the broken container? Because hiv cannot be transmitted via inanimate object no matter how fresh the hiv blood was there on the sharp surface. For example, ONE SECOND before I got cut. Thank you so much! So now I would go on with ny life and don't need to worry about getting hiv in my normal daily life unless I have unprotected sex, sharing needles, mother to child. Other than this, what wounds what cuts I can just ignore unless my cuts are deep until I need hospital treatment like stitches. Is my thinking correct? Thank you for all the kind words so I can no more worry about my scenario! :DD THANK YOU!

Correct.

There is NO way you could get infected in the manner you describe.  It is physiologically impossible.

Kindly move along.

Your overreacting from the scenario you posted. I  would say your fine and you have no need to worry. The chances of that happening would be astronomical and if I were you, I would focus on combating/ preventing other day to day diseases or illnesses rather worrying about something you have no chance of getting unless you do the aforementioned my colleagues already posted:

"unprotected vaginal / anal intercourse
sharing iv drug works
mother to child"

"NO" means I wouldn't get infected with HIV even I got CUT by the sharp surface of the container and starts BLEEDING eventhough the sharp surface of the container was contaminated with HIV BLOOD which was left by a hiv patient ONE SECOND before I got cut by the container. Because container is an inanimate object. please! this is really my last question!! Pls tell me Am I infected or not. Then I ll stop myself from thinking this anymore. I ll continue with my life! Please please! Once again! Thank you so much for your answers and advices!!

Sorry sorry.. my last question, so the sharp surface of the Tupperware/ container is an inanimate object which even I got CUT and BLEED just ONE second after if anyone left HIV blood there also wouldn't infect me with HIV via my fresh cut right? Yes or no ? Thank you so so much!

hiv is transmitted through...
unprotected vaginal / anal intercourse
sharing iv drug works
mother to child

hiv is not transmitted from environmental surfaces or inanimate objects.

Thanks thanks !! So it means I must have a cut that requires hospital treatment like stitches only I have potential risk of getting hiv if he or she left hiv blood on the sharp surface one second before I got cut right? Thanks again for reconfirming! Sorry may I ask one more question, I as an adult only need to worry about getting hiv via unprotected sex, needles sharing and mother to children right? :DD thanks a lot for ur helps! I just don't want myself to keep on thinking about getting hiv everyday yet everyone around me is just so normal having their normal routine without worrying abt getting hiv like I do! I feel I m so so insane!
