hiv fever

If one contracts hiv and gets symptoms, is it possible for the fever to be cured by paracetamol and last for two days only?

Please just go have your test confirmed.

But which is more probable in cases of faint line results? A true positive or a false positive?

Yes, especially with a self-administered rapid test.

Is there a chance of false positive?

That is certainly a faint line.  I would go to a clinic and get a test done.  One thing is for sure, you certainly did not seroconvert from receptive oral sex.

I highly doubt that one appeared.  Did you by any chance take a picture of your result.

The human mind is a very powerful thing and has the ability to create any issues that it believes it may be facing.

So these are all coincidental? The fever before, cough that is still going on even zithromax and anti-tussive did not cure, sores on back of tongue and white spots appearing on the sides of my mouth? :(

You did not have a risk, so you do not have HIV

It's an hiv test kit where you draw blood from your finger, the one that has C and T lines

I've never heard of an at-home finger prick test

I did a home rapid test (finger prick test) earlier and a faint line appeared on the results area. :( i've checked my mouth as well and there seem to be some white spots appearing on the upper sides and it's a bit painful and sore. What could this mean? :(

Also just to add, I got treated for this cough with Zithromax and an antitussive but it did not get any better.

I'm afraid that this dry cough is hiv related

It's not HIV

Sorry. I trust you guys but I'm really just worried. My dry cough has been going on for about 3 weeks now, plus I also had fever and nausea two weeks after possible exposure. Also, after that oral sex my gums became swollen which made me think I could have a mouth sore that time and it became infected that's why it became swollen. I am a generally healthy person and these did not happen to me before.

I know symptoms wont tell anything and i am planning to get tested soon. I am just scared that I might be the first person to get hiv through this mode.
