hiv infection

Dear friends

i had unprotected sex with girlfiend twice in early 2004 and dont know her status.

Since then i had daughter in dec-2004 and son in feb-2005 . We all are doing okay at the moment. Kids growing normally ( daughter 3 years old and son 2 years)and they dont have any symptoms of illness to the extend that i never had to go to hospital for them. Both the kids have perfect weight, no fever , not a sigle infection so far and both are very active.

recently i observed white marble like blanch coating on upper plate of mouth in both of us.It cover the area of upper plate and around wisdom tooth gum.  I also feel some pain in leg joint and feel like leg muscle are being streched form inside as you can not spot the itching muscle by physically touching but while walking it feels painful for the moment. We both have perfect weight and no fever or swollen gland like symptoms so far.

Recently i had WBC which shows perfect lymphocyte and RBC count as well as perfect heamoglobin level . However WBC count at eleveted level of 12500 which might indicate infection in body. but i do not have any visible infection or fever other than joint pain occationally and streched of muscle of leg.

Since the observing the white marble like lesion in oral cavity , i have started worrying about the past incidence way back more than 3 years  and infection of hiv. I remain stressed all the time thinking of it.

could anyone guide on these symptoms and possibility of hiv.

thanks

If you are female then you more than likely were tested during pregnancy anyway and would have known in you were HIV+.

Your symptoms arent HIV related and are way too late for ARS symptoms anyway.

You dont have anything to worry about, go ahead and get a test if it calms you though.

Symptoms are not a reliable indicator, and there are any number of conditions that could cause an elevated white blood count. Your potential exposure was years ago, so if you just go get an HIV test now, you will know conclusively. The chance that you contracted HIV from two unprotected episodes of vaginal intercourse is very low.
