My time is best spent assisting my patients/clients with their life-long illness. Much of my effort is also applied to erasing misinformation, sterotypes and ignorance surrounding every aspect of the HIV epidemic. The human suffering I witness would absolutely traumatize you. Sometimes, in later stages of HIV, TB and other diseases, there's absolutely NOTHING we can do to stop the inevitable outcome. I do tend to find therapeutic relief through my superiors'  or peers' dark humor. This is how WE cope with what most couldn't even fathom.

Firstly, yes this is indeed a user to user forum. Expression of emotion is allowed as long as it is NOT defaming , hurtful, or antagonistic. Here we have an individual who " suppossedly" performed this act , which to the majority of society is silly, and definitely unhygenic. If you would notice the individuals who are commenting with humor, they are ones who commit a vast amount of time and energy to this forum. This individual needs to have it it home that this type of behavior is NOT appropriate, either for his personal health or that of his sexual partners. A strong expression of emotion was utilized by us in order to relay that point. There was NOTHING disparaging about our comments. This was done with an element of humor but a ton of concern. With all due respect, in light of your queries here, you are NOT in a position to gauge or decide the appropriate level of humor here. You must understand that a certain dose of comic relief is therapeutic for those of us whom field repetative queries daily. Some of us live/work in close proximity or with this devastating disease daily. We find this humor in benign stories such as this where we know realistically, there is NO RISK of HIV and we feed off of this. Especially
those of us whom see this disease in front of our own eyes and feel it with our own hands in our hospitals, clinics, etc. Before you JUDGE us, please invest a bit more thought into whom is making the comments.

this individual needs help mentally. i stated facts. I was not judging. wacking off with a used condom is nasty, it is unsanitary, and the individual posting is either seeking attention or needs attention. We gave the individual both. Hopefully this individual listens to the first line of my original comment. I neither judged nor showed bias. I never called the individual a name i just commented on the subject he was asking about. you can reread my post above and see it clearly. now that all is said. I only have one other thing to say!! This individual is sick/messed up in the head and only a mentally incompetent person would do such a thing. Now that is judging and showing bias. but truthfully stated. now thats the rest of the story! good day!

well, such direct comments as "your gross", "gag" etc... sorry I don't feel they are warranted.  yes the question was over the top but so were some of the reactions!!  Personally, as it does not affect me, I don't care how other people respond to such unique/bizarre questions because people willl do so regardless, but I'm sure someone on the recieving end would not appreciate such input!

This forum is a user to user forum with people expressing their thoughts and opinions.  While I can honestly say that people always get a non-biased, non judgemental answer about their sexual practices (ie affairs, etc)....this one is over the top and people reacted.

This fourm is suppose to be non judgemental and non bias, I think we all know this is not a very pleasant thing to do, but I also think we should all have some empathy towards this situation and towards this individual as we do not know the circumstances that led to this behaviour.  But dude seriously don't do that again, who knows what could be on that old condom!!!
