hiv risk?

hiv risk?

if i had genital herpes sores that were in latter stages, i.e. scabs, etc, and had protected vaginal sex with a very slight amount of unprotected frottage beforehand:

(a) is there any risk of hiv transmission if she was positive

and

(b) in this case, with protected vaginal sex, a singular genital herpes sore is located 1/4 to maybe 1/8 inch away from base of penis, just beyond the reach of the properly worn condom.  because this surface area just off the base of penis could not be inside the vagina, there is zero risk of hiv transmission and no need for testing?

Welcome to the Forum. Clearly you are anxious  about your exposure.  16 posts in less than 24 hours is a bit over the top.  Let's address your questions and then hopefully you'll be able to get beyond this.

1.HIV is not spread in the context of condom protected sex when the condom stays intact, not by frottage and not by mutual masturbation.  thus the exposure you describe did not put you at risk if your partner happened to have HIV (quite unlikely).  On the other hand, you probably placed her at risk for HSV.

2.  HSV has been hypothesized as a entrance way for HIV however it the situation you describe, still virtually no risk.,

Bottom line, your concerns are misplaced.  I would not worry and see no medical indication for testing.EWH

Thank you.

As I've read here and found myself, the anxiety and feeling of vulnerability is quite potent.  Having read on other sites that the possibility of HIV transmission through hpv sores not protected by properly worn condom, I got a but crazed, as I noticed a sore just ever so slightly outside the reach if the condom directly at thd base of the penis.  My only other concern/risk I feel that I've had is that i've had fairly large exposure to receiving unprotected oral sex from females.

As I understand now I think clearly, neither sores slightly out of reach of condom nor oral sex present any risk to getting HIV?

Your understanding is correct. No need for me to repeat myself.  EWH

Well, since I have your ear, did you see my post about glory holes and the risk of HIV transmission through blood and semen that may have been deposited on or in the hole itself or on the walls.  Contact with any of these surfaces, if they had dry or fluid liquids such as blood or semen, would be nonexistent risk for HIV, correct?
