hiv test in malaysia

I will not going to ask about the symptoms and the risk of expose since the test result overrule the symptoms and the risk history.
three simple question.
1) I receive many different information about HIV window period,(6-8 weeks,3month and also 6 month)
in Malaysia the doctor told me is 6 month. which one is the actual window period for hiv??
2)why different country has the different window period??
3) in the worldwide is that any country still using the 1st and 2nd generation of hiv test??

By the way, I have the negative hiv antibody test in  6 weeks and 12 weeks and negative rapid test in 7 weeks.

The window period is 4 weeks to 3 months
So countries are not as educated as others
Perhaps not, but at  3 months it wouldn't make a difference what generation it was. . You don't have HIV.

Doesn't matter what generation it was at 3 months it would be conclusive and he's had his conclusive test result.

1. 3 months
2. I think every country insists on the same window period, namely 3 months
3. I do not know, but maybe only the less developed countries in Africa may use that, not your country.
