Again, there are no hiv tests that are approved to give you a conclusive test result at six weeks. A conclusive test result is 12/13 weeks.

Teak is right and you should play the "odds" game but here you go:

For what I have read from the doctor, your risk is 1 in 2000 if she was infected and that the odds that she is infected is even lower.

The doctor says a 6 weeks test should be conclusive and I'll go for his words.

I meant you shouldn't.

I don't play the odds game. It is rare for one to seroconvert after the 3 month period unless you are an IV drug user, chemo patient or on antirejection drugs for a transplant.

thanks! again....i just wanted to know the odds....i have read that if  test after n 4 weeks if one has a negative result his is  90% not likely to test positive .......whereas i tool the test after 27 days of possible exposure ( 2 days short of four weeks)....what are my chances of .....having a positive test....after 12-13 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a waste of money testing that early. Just test 12/13 weeks post exposure which there is no doubt that you will get a negative but conclusive result.

Your mole has nothing to do with HIV.
