for how long does the lymph nodes stop the enlargement after the the symptoms of hiv
That's what scares me, because I also read Dr Hook saying they shouldn't stay for longer than a month. Now how can an expert be saying things like this and you guys know first hand that it's not actually like that .
I've had swollen lymph nodes in my groin for 3 months now . They are small and hard though (pee size and really hard) ??? About 3 of them !
The ones under my jaw I can't be sure of , but they seem a bit swollen ????

If it's of any use to anyone: my partner, who was diagnosed HIV+ in february 11th was adviced to take an HIV antibodies test precisely because he had a swollen lymph node in his neck, exactly like LIZZIE LOU describes about her/her son. Very big, like a golf ball, noticeable just by looking and it came out a couple of weeks after having unprotected sex with another person in October... the "ball" was present and didn't show any sign of change across the months of November, december, January and february. It stayed the same. My partner began treatment 1 or 2 weeks ago and the doctor says he has to wait until the medicines have effect in his body and expect that the ball will go down... I really hope the ball appeared because of HIV infection because if he has aids, couple with the ball being something else... ugh, terrible. I pray he will be o.k.
i am just wondering, did your son have any other symptoms of ARS? sorry for asking if you don't want to answer it is understandable

what most ppl here "think" are enlarged lymph nodes...arent actually enlarged at all. if you go "a pokin"...you will feel them. it is not like having a sore throat and your tonsils become inflammed. my son's were so bad that on one side of his neck...he looked like he had swallowed a bunch of marbles and GOLF BALLS...they protruded out from his neck...and were noticeable just by looking at him.

According to Dr. Hook they can't last more than a month, at least that's what I read in the archives.
I would like to know that question aswell ....... How long to Lymph nodes stay enlarged ? Should they go down when all other ARS symptoms go (eg: 1 to 2 weeks), or do they stay enlarged for months after ?
