If you believe you have been exposed to HIV and want help to judge your risk, would like advice about HIV testing, or have questions about the effectiveness of condoms or risks associated with specific sexual practices, this is the site for you.
I have posted before but I dont think I will need Dr. HHH for this one. I see alot of posting about the home access hiv test. What exactly is that and how accurate is it?
I had questioned this testing instrument in the previous forum.
Look under the HIV Forum...the thread is the following:

This kind of testing is the same kind of testing one would receive in a MD's office or at a testing center.
FDA approved testing kit. It is the ONLY legitimate testing kit approved for home testing Cassandra.
I believe that the kit itself is not the only thing FDA approved. I believe the kit, and the process itself is all part and parcel of the FDA approval.
Look into the OraQuick test in your area at a public clinic. You can get your results back in 20 minutes and no blood draw is required. It is cheaper, as or more accurate and quicker than the home access test.
