how accurate is oraquick?
Hello doctors
I went to emergency room last week and they did HIV test by Oraquick advanced kit. the result was negative however, they collected the my oral fluid sample around 11 am and they put it in solution around 12 pm based on the time noted on my report. How accurate is this test? I called oraquick customer support center and they recommend maximum 30 min time between collecting the sample and putting inside the solution. I'm scared and I don't know if I need to let hospital know about this issue

If it is a hospital, then they would have a laboratory in order to test the blood on a 3rd or 4th Gen Elisa... Retest with a 4th Gen when possible.
No one here will argue with the manufacturer, so i would deal with the hospital on any issue Oraquick brought up.
