i realy do not know how can i come over false positiveELISA test

i realy do not understand what does it mean?

i have unprotacted ORAL sex with my girlfreind. she has Negative HIV rapid text.

after  5 and 8 weeks i did ELISA test. the result was positive.

but i only use oral sex one time, and she has negative hiv test.

anyway after 8 weeks i did ELISA 1,2 HIVE test the result was (NEGATIVE), but i still was worring i did after 8 weeks 2 Weastern bolt test the restult was NEGATIVE .

the hosbital tried to understand me i do not have anything, and they told me WEASTERN BOLT TEST IS LAST STEP. and you do not have HIV "CONGRADUATION". But after 2 weeks the bad feeling came again and again.. even i can't see any hospital or clinck i feel afraid.

Please help me what all this mean .

1- What false positive HIV test? is it happen normally or only to me that happend .
2- should i be worry about the Period window of 8 and 9 weeks.
3- is oral sex is as other kind of sex easy to transmit HIV.(By the way i just kiss my girlfreind and she sucked my penis.

Please help me DO i have Negative HIV OR NOT....
I REALY CAN NOT COME OVER FROM MY FALSE POSITIVE HIV TEST..

can i sleep and eat.. i realy more than 5 weeks i did not see the bed.

False positive elisa is common. That is why weston Blot are used for confirmation. So you are HIV negative move on.

I read on Aids meds dat serodiscordant couple (+ve -ve) performs unprotected oral for years and still the negative partner is not infected.

M not sure wat turned ur test false postive
But u need not worry since its not possible for a test to be false negative.
U r done with it.

If u are paranoid like me n feel anxious get tested after 12 weeks (which will b of no use as u r gonna test negative anywayz)and get over it.

Aslam,

Antibody tests can yield false positives some times especially the one using the oral swab however every positive ELISA is confirmed with a Western Blot and if it yields a negative result, that means you're truly HIV negative.

Remember, Western blot is the most definitive test for HIV and if it yields a NEGATIVE RESULT, you have to believe it.

Seek therapy, therapy and meds can surely help you.

false positives happen,  just a few Q's,
1. did you have both hiv test at the same location?
2. were both tests administered orasures?rapid p.r.i.c.k blood test? standard blood test?
3. you mention 5,8 wks? (+) then 8,9 wks?(-)

Tony,he tested positive at the 5th week and at the 8th week he took another test which was negative.

He's got two western blot negs at the 9th week.

But I think in the end what matters is his western blot negatives, they are better than every other test cuz he did it at the ninth week and yea I fully concur with you in this case reconfirming the result at the 13th week wont be a bad idea.


So Aslam, I hope you're listening, it's a false negative that you've got previously just to avoid any sort of skepticality retest at the 13th week and pick that negative :)

yeah, i realize that. my question was what kind of testing was done.
due to high rate of false positive in orasure saliva elisa tests, and not so high, but high rate on finger p.r.i.ck test elisa also orasure.  sometimes when theyre from the same location, possibly a bad batch.  i was only playing investigator.
these test come from the manufacturer, and are given a lotnumber. sometimes in medicine, medications, labtest kits, iv contrast, etc. etc. come with a lot number. sometimes patients have anaphylactic reactions to certain meds, contrasts from the same lot number. bad batch... know what i mean.
so, if this individual had the tests done at the same loc., then possibly a bad batch. or different locations, same thing probably same manufaturer and same lot number.
besides that, 8,9 wks tests are very reassuring, shouldnt change at 3 mos, but should definitely follow up at 3 mos, because of his 2 positive, false or not.

i realy got this bad feeling when i see any label or ads or Media about HIV or ADIS Patients...

i did not do any sex sex. Oral sex only with my girlfreind one time , and she got negative result.

if i feel goood now while i reading your responses, when i switch my lab top off, this bad feeling comes to me...

i went to psychiatrist and he says you have realy pschilogical problems bez even if you get good result you will not believe it ..

i do not know realy i am in Australia now because i can see my family realy i feel in guilt every time, from nothing. My girlfreind has negative hiv test and she forget anything but me i am not.

False positve result when i donated for blood, they called me that you have something, that time i was sick because of weather change and with all my family "common cold" i told them i am sick i ate medicine. but they said ok but you can donate for bloood.
They called after 3 weeks that i have something in my blood, they sent my result to Weastern test i mean after (total 5 weeks most 6.5 weeks ) resulted negative.
after 8 weeks this bad feeling came to me so i did ELISA test in clinc they says we found something (false positive HIV), So they sent the my blood to Weasten bolt test after (total 9 weeks ) result was Negative, and the Doctor spoke with me he told me now you should stop every things this is last step,
congraduation Negative HIV.

but i still worry what is wrong? i can not forget this how i come i did not do any thing. as i read {a carefull oral sex} with trustworthy girlfreind, is safer.

anyway next day, i went to anther clinc i discriped to the Doctor my story. he said you should not be worry, but i still worry so he said we have ELISA 1,2 TEST, and you did previously ELISA and it was positive but you confirmed it with WEASTERN. he said that "he afraid that ELISA will bring positve result again. I insisted to do it . after more that 1 hr . RESULT WAS NEGATIVE.
SO he suggested to not bring HIV idea again. any way for more than 5 months i can not go any hosbital or clinc.

sometimes i feel realy happy when i read your advise, dirctaly i call me family i will back home. but most time I COULD NOT STOP THIS DRAMA in my mind

your western blot was definitive, you don't have HIV :)

i went to Australian clinic i have talked about mine full story...

Doctor says we will not do anther test for you, because if WEASTERN TEST back result to Negative this is the accurate result, you should forget it.

therefore, i did not do test today and i will not it anymore (inshalah)
