idu how to know

by duke10987, Mar 13, 2009 04:03PM
i know that idu's are at risk.  i have had unprotected sex with three females i am a male.  i dont believe they are idu or have sex with men who are bisexual.  they are white women, a teacher, state govt worker and a 21 year old bartender.  i have been worrying about the total of four encounters.  i am not sure if i need testing.  i still see all of the women on a fairly regular basis.  all said they are clean.  im just kind of "venting" my concerns since i dont have anyone else to talk to about it.  thanks.

Their being heterosexual women who only have sex with heterosexual men does not mean that they don't risk having HIV.  Only consistent, correct condom usage is safe.

You should use condoms always when you are not in a mutually monogamous relationship.  You should get tested at 6 weeks past your last exposure (i.e. unprotected vaginal or unprotected anal intercourse), and again at 12 weeks.  12 weeks is conclusive.
