is it possible to get HIV from ear piercing

is it possible to get HIV from ear piercing

HI guys,
I want to know if it is possible to get HIV from ear piercing
when the Ear piercing specialist wore disposable glove, but she touched the stud before pierce the lobe.
if the stud had pierced her finger, then pierced the lobe.
is it possible to get HIV from this situation ?

But I analysed this situation, because the specialist wore glove, so at first the stud havd to pierced the glove, then the skin of finger, so the cut must be a big one,and we can see the blood. if we didn't see the blood from her hand, that means she didn't hurt. so it is impossible to get hiv from her.

am i right,or it is better to have a hiv test?

A consultation seating with a psychiatrist might help the best.

I read if people share needle, it is possible for them to get HIV from others. So Ithink stud can be considered as needle, as if the stud hurt the person first then pierced to lobe, that can be infected.

is it not right to consider stud as needle?
or the blood is not enough to get infected?

When they talk needles they are talking hypodermic needles used to give injections. There is no risk in ear rings.

Would u guys please let me know why it is impossible?

For me, i think when the stud hurt the person, then there will be some blood on the stud, the the stud pierce into lobe, the lobe is also hurt. this causes the infection.

why u guys said impossible?

the needle...or stud...that is used in piercing ears, is not the same kind of needle used by iv drug users or for injections of any kind.  there is no blood "inside" the needle...and  when hiv is exposed to the air...it quickly becomes inactive.

this is NOT a risk for hiv infection...move on!

I have read someones said that
" If the ear piercing gun had just been used on an HIV+ person and still had that persons fresh blood on it, I suppose there could be a risk.  Mostly of hepatitis B or C if the person before had either, but a small risk of any disease that is spread by blood exposure."

So how quickly the virus become inactive?
cos if the Ear piercing specialist was hurt by stud and the stud pierced into my lobes less then 5 seconds.

is there a risk? i am very scared to read about that .

who would like to explain me

I always have a question mark,  the stud pierced my lobe with other' s blood on it which maybe HIV+ OR Hepatitis +,  just in a few seconds, why this can be ignored?

How long the virus exposed to the air will be dead or inactive?

Can we make say if we do not have unprotected sex, we do not share needle of injection, we do not use unsafe blood.  Then we can not have hiv?

thank you very much

It's not an HIV concern that is why it is being ignored. You have already been told it wasn't a risk.

But it is possible that her blood touched my lobe which is pierced by stud. this is just in a few seconds, so there is no risk?

the virus will dead in 2seconds?

The virus isn't alive to begin with. It's either active or inactive. Again you had no risk even if their was a little blood there wouldn't be enough on a stud to infect not counting it was exposed to air.
