Three quarters of the population of the US has HSV1. HSV1 can be transmitted to the genitals via oral sex. HSV2 is known by most two be the usual sexually transmitted virus. Neither are good to have. There is no cure for either but their is treatment for outbreaks. See your doctor or dermatologist if you have a concern.
