Thanks.
I respect you opinion about oral.
But, despite that, suposing it really had a risk, wouldn't my tests be very very close to 100%? Or they would be meanless?
risk?
It does happen in the real world or in the paper law?
In my country it is 8 weeks; in some states it is 6 weeks. what about the real thing? still 12 weeks??
I won't be able to copy with that.
I strong believe the 8 weeks window.
But I'm afraid to test (next week) because there is no anonimous testing where I live).
I taking LUVOX and I'm feeling better, but very fatigue (hope it is because the med and not the hiv
Abbott AxSYM HIV Ag/Ab Combo is a 4th generation test. I think your testing is complete from all angles. Testing at 8 or12 weeks is only left for personal satisfaction for emotional reasons that too if needed.
In any ways, your risk was too trivial and you have tested way too much for it already.
1 question I have - Brazil Health department uses 8 week window for 3rd generation or 4th generation test. It will be good to know if you have an idea about it.
DNA PCR is a sensitive test for sure but RNA PCR is the best test to have during the 1st month after exposure. Beyond a month's time, DNA PCR is equally good if not better. RNA PCR can go undetectable as a reuls tof antibody response which come in detectable quantities very seldom before 22-25 days period.
I think I would have to be the last person in this world if after a (hard) blow job (with two scorts), five elisas over six weeks, and three RNA PCRs over four weeks, I would be infected.
The problem is that I got every single symptom (except fever and faringithis).
I couldn't go out home for five days because I was weak. I had severe fatigue, muscle and join pain. I had headache (with eye movement). I had some diarrhea. I still have a rash over my trunk.
I had anorexia and lost 2,5 Kg.
Right now I feeling better, and listening to you I feel like I might be ok. But it is so hard to go through all of this.
I went to a psiquiatric and he gave me LUVOX.
I don't know what else to think and what else to do...
You search the web and you find plenty of non sense. There are experts who differ in their opinions so pretty much nothing is constant. No point calling me wrong because I can post links of other well known hiv specialist from body itself who would rather go with RNA PCR during the acute phase of infection. It all varies but generally if 2-3 weeks have passed hiv specialists and microbiologists prescribe dna pcr than rna pcr.
Yes, that sounds about right. See Chris, that is why it is said that once DNA PCR is positive it remains positive for life while it is not necesarily the same for RNA PCR. I go with the principle that RNA PCR is the most sensitive test till 1st 3 weeks, and beyond that DNA PCR becomes equally effective.
The reason for this is that initially the virus is free flowing in the plasma, and RNA PCR can detect it but its eventual hiding place is thymus where WBC are created and if HIV is there then the the traces if HIV genetic material can be found in the WBC's being produced there. The timing for all this to happen really makes sense and thus, makes me strongly believe the way I do.
Having said this, I think a 4th generation test at 4 weeks hold more promise. It is cheaper and easier to perform then PCR's. Now, the PCR's have been automated so that problem has been resolved but still PCR 's are infamously dependent on the laboratory skill and specialization and for the reagent& primers used. Its a global world. It all can't be covered in a single PCR.
did u see that andrews wrote they take 3rd generation hiv tests as conclusive in brazil at 2 months. You been going on for just 20 months over the mentioned period...
on a friendly note, you don't have HIV in any possible freakiest ways of any sane HIV specialist's insanely creative imagination. Better watch out, before you become and irreversible ENIGMA for your wife and kids. You need to stay in a healthy and positive environment and stop posting in these forums like a prisoner on the lose.
In my opinion any of your well-wishers even on this forum should discourage you from posting here. You come across as a compulsive poster and this forum seems likea place where you trying to shed of your 2 and a half yr long baggage. You need mental help. I understand your concerns about having a family and kids but almost everyone here has if not the same, similar kind of concerns - about their kids, gf's, wives, parents and many others. I think these thoughts have consumed you enough for last 2 and a half years and I am pretty sure that your family life would have been effected by this exposure of yours. Its about time to realize that your kida have paid enough price for having a dad around who has been alwayz worried about other things than actually see them grow and help them develop into good human beings. You need to revert back right now because this may very well lead to your kids disliking you when they are grown. You might have been physically around for them but you also know that mind of your have been occupied by many other things rather than them.
Seek a mental health professional to deal with your unwarranted worries. You didn't have a risk, didn't need testing but you did test and you've had several negative results so that shows you, that you have never been exposed to HIV at anytime.
