is there an hiv risk

hi i tried to post a question in the doctors area for hiv prevention but it says to use this forum? as it closed down

my partner i was giving anal sex to protected with a condom, the condom became dry, so i went to the bathroom to take it off i took it off with my hand and replaced it with a new condom, as the other condom was really dry, then when i put the second condom on we just had mutual masterbation,

my question if he did have hiv would there be any risk me taking off the old condome and putting the new one on, hence i touched the outside elf the condom with my hand opened a new packet and rolled a new condom on onto myself
thanks

The expert forum is closed for gosh knows how long time. No one knows. There are very knowledgeable people here and some even work as HIV councelors. I would change the last response and put the HIV dies in contact with the air. And that's about it. So even if you touch semen or precum or whatever the virus there would have been deactivated and then it wouldn't have had the capacity to infect. When you are inside a vagina or in the rectum, as it is a closed environment then transmission can occur.

I try to understand your point but odd are very low, I would say zero. first he said masturbation so I understand that no semen was present yet st the time he change his first condom, maybe pre cum and the amount of particles can not be enough to infect. Second it is hard to get cross contamination with your finger and put that contamination just inside the meatus were the virus can have contact with the inner mucosa. and finally HIV can not live outside de body, It just die almost immediately after contact with air.
So if we put all this together, the probability is Zero.

Yes I know that' but wouldn't there be any cross contamination by taking one off and putting the new one on- ie touching the one that was used
