It's the same as with any fluids.
Hi all
Would this same situation refer to blood as well as semen. If you got some HIV blood in your eyes either fresh (wet) or dry (flake) blood it also wouldn't be able to infect you?
when we say it does live but never alive-- it can not infect because its too weak even it gets into a mucus membrane?
It does live. It was never alive.
how long does it live in another persons body? ie if after sex... ?
Correct it cannot infect.
thanks. so when it gets to air a few seconds and it had the opportunity to come across or in contact with a mucus membrane (eyes, rectum etc), it inhibits the ability to infect?
HIV is not alive when exposed to air and temp change it cause the outer shell of the virus to become damaged when inhibits its ability to infect.
