living with HIV positif person

My fiancé is HIV positif but healthy. Is it really risky to give him blowjobs ? How often should he have his T cells checked? He had the mono 2 years ago, but has been healthy since. He has been coplaining of strong muscle pain, soar throat and hives on his hands for a couple of days. Are those symptoms that should have him go have his t cells tested? If the condom ever burst, what should I then do? I'm a mother. He prefers not to think about these things, so I tend to do it for him.

As Liz very rightly advised, go and talk to the specialist doctor yourself on his next appointment. His HIV consultant doctor is the best person to decide for frequency of medical check ups and tests, not the symptoms.

There are many magnetic couples living together successfully, for quite sometime, and you can also do so, provided you follow the advised precautions. I would not say that it is not risky, but trick in the game is, how wisely you manage the risk.

make sure the doc is an HIV specialist. I hope he has spoken to his GP who in turn has put him in touch with an HIV specialist MD for his care and management.

is he not being treated by a specialist?  his doctor will decide when and how often he needs blood work.  i would advise you to go with him to his next appt. and talk to his doctor yourself.
