lymph nodes and hiv

about 9 weeks ago i had an exposure albeit protected and i got an answer that i didnot have a risk but i have painful large lymph nodes in the lower back area and i have lost about 5,6 kgs of weight in this period,my question is about lymph nodes in hiv...when are they swollen,i read in ars they get swollen....so my main question is that after initial ars finishes then do the lymph nodes return to normal,if yes then after how long do they swell again or do they remain swollen after ars?

You didn't have a risk of contracting HIV, you had protected sex. See your doctor if you are concerned about your lymph nodes.

Has a doctor confirmed this? If you are really concerned then maybe you should ask a doctor. I cannot say whether they really are swollen over a post. However, I do not believe that it is HIV.

Also, most people who believe they have swollen nodes, really do not.

Response from Dr. Holodniy from TheBody

Usually a couple of weeks to a couple of months, then they shrink back down to normal. MH

"painful large lymph nodes in the lower back area" Never heard of that happening because of HIV.
" i have lost about 5,6 kgs of weight " Probably because you are really worried.

You were protected and most of the people here would say that you had no risk.
