a few nights but no real fever I noticed. (it was hot during summer).
On 6 week 4 days I had my jaw swell up while eating (painful), had it happen the same once a yr ago... jaw became super large but mostly went away within a day. Also felt like something was in my throat but not sore, lasted 4 or 5 days.
Went to doc for my jaw also tested at 7 weeks (50 days) for HIV, came back neg.
Started taking antibiotics on day 50, started getting diareah a day later for about 6 or 7 days but didn't have to go to the bathroom any more than usual.
At 7 weeks 4 days my neck started to bother me, I had like a lymph node swell below my ear on my neck slightly. Everyday for the next week I felt pain all over my neck &underarms in different areas I thought I would have lymph nodes but no real swelling I could notice. I might have had a very slight fever, but it was more like a little warm for an hour then gone for a day or two then slightly warm again... but nothing I would have noticed if not for my fear.
A few days after I stopped taking antibiotics (at 9 weeks), I got bad diereah, lasted for like 2 weeks or so. Went to doc, said probably from antibiotics. Or maybe my UC (ibs). Bloated stomach very frequent stool, some blood... my best guess was UC flared from antibiotics.
Now at 13 weeks I started getting pains starting from the back of my head to my underarms (no fever). I noticed bumps on the back of my head in areas I might have lymph nodes but also on top of my head. If they are lymph nodes they're super hard and unmoveable. Felt pain in the areas where the bumps would form. All this lasted about a week, with each day or two a new area hurting. Back of neck is still sore and I still have the lymph node under my ear from week 7 & 4 days (my doc said not to worry about it, it's right behind where my jaw became swollen).
Thinking logically, I'm don't see I need more testing since if I was having ars it started too late (either at 6w 4 day/ 7w 4 day/ or 13w) and i tested at 7 weeks. I'm told oral is not possible for hiv. To have become infected, to me it seems unlogical unless I was very very unlucky.
If you would have lymph node swelling, it happens all at once and you would have been so ill that swollen lymph nodes would have been the least of your worries.
you are negative! One she was a formerly married woman, has two kids, non drug user (I assume), One time exposure which was BLOW JOB (NO RISK), you used a condom during vaginal, negative test a 7weeks, symptoms that are coming at different times ====== No HIV! You didn't have a risk and expect to have continuous negatives! No risk No need to Test!
Yeah that's what I've been thinking too, I'm not worried about her lifestyle specifically, but more her ex-husbands. I think he messed around a lot. (I know almost nothing about her or him maybe be he took drugs or bi... no idea). She's 25, her husband around that age.
I know all my symptoms came on starting too late 6w 4d (not b4 that since I was neg at 7 w), but I'm sure for the past week my lymph nodes in my neck and probably back of head increased in size.
I decided to look in the mirror last night at the back of my neck and noticed slightly raised areas (size of small pimple or sorta long like a short piece of string) that feel like the one my doc described to me as slightly inflamed at 7 1/2 weeks.
My mom came into my room 2 nights ago and said I was shaking and sweating while I was sleeping. For sure I have no fever though.
Can lymph nodes swell without a fever if I was infected and say experienced ars between 6-8 weeks originally?
If not I don't know anything that can really make them swell without fever, but I'm pretty sure they are swollen.
Maybe I have some other sort of infection, my nodes didn't swell at once this last time. Began about a little over a week ago and has continued in different areas as the days passed. Like one day back of my head, next day near my ear, next day middle of neck, etc).
Its funny what people can find when they are worried. You start to notice everything about your body. You can test a 12 weeks to get a conclusive, but you don't need on. It will help ease your fears. Expect a negative! People when they concentrate on things can really scare themselves. Anxiety can hurt you as well, so try to stay non stressed. Easy For Me to say, Right!
If it wasn't for the pain/lymph flaring i'd probably be ok.
I figure for condom breakage, the chances of neither of us noticing an obvious break is like non-existant and oral is like no risk pratically.
The way I've been thinking my chances are low.. the following would have had to happen...
husband infected, infected her, oral infected, neg 7 week test, and symptoms start at either 6 1/2w or 7 1/2 w and then lymph nodes flare again during end of week 12 to 14.
regardless of what you are told on here, you are going to think "what if". Try to relax until you can get your conclusive (in your mind), but think good thoughts. Don't get down over it. You did what was right and had protected sex. You will be negative because there was no risk.
