Each time you do insertive anal unprotected the risks are about (average) 6/10000. While receptive anal is much higher and averages 1/250.

To: actual %
*being a "top" is 1/500
*being a "bottom" is 1/200

*risk of contracting HIV through any one-time event

those are what they (most medical professionals [MD HHH and Dr. Bob from www.thebody) have stated

I think you're the only one on here that's had any real risk, but it's still minimal.  Have you asked him/her about his/her HIV status?

he says he's negative.  and the first time was 7 weeks ago and i just tested negative.  but still....the anxiety is debilitating....

(1) Most people would not outwardly lie about their HIV status (for many reasons, and too many for me wanting to state).

(2) Do not go by your "first" time.  Test from your "last" time.

(3) If you do not trust him, why are you continuing to sleep with him,...and no less.. unprotected?

From the last time test at least 6 weeks to get a good idea of your status.
I would suggest testing @ 12 weeks as well, since you are unaware of his status.

Lastly, why not ask him to get tested?

Just to get an idea:

If you test @ 6 weeks and you are negative, say the test is 95% accurate.
That leaves 5%.
Say 20% of gay men have HIV.
Q: Now, what is 20% of 5%?
A:  1%

Now, the chance you still have HIV (after 6 weeks of being tested) would be:   .01 *x .005= .00005 (or 1/20,000)

You would also have to consider the aspects to whether:
(1) there was sufficient virus to transmit
(2)the virus was able to enter the body through a mucous membrane

Many other factors have to go awry as well.

Get it?
