my story, exposure, and really need advice im very stressed and worried..

im a female and i had unprotected sex with a male who i knew for about a year, casually dated but didn't ever ask his hiv status. so his status is unknown. i had unprotected sex with him once. i asked him afterwords about his hiv status and he said he has no stds and gets checked every couple of months. well his answer just didn't cut it for me because anyone can say anything, doesn't make it true.i started getting some symptoms like vaginal yeast infection, rash, tingling in feet and headaches so i went to get tested.i got tested 8 1/2 weeks after my encounter.i tested negative.now i've recently noticed a couple enlarged glands and stomach pains and i still have a yeast infection.please help. i really was excited when i found out my 81/2 week test was negative but now i'm stressed and nervous again thinking im positive.what should i do?i cant focus in school or work or anything i need help

See your worrieing yourself sick. More than likely nothing is wrong. Get a NEG. test result at your 3 month mark and leets us know.

yes i've learned my lesson from this..i usually have always used protection except for this once.i think i'm running my immune system down from being so stressed all the time.i asked the women at the clinic about my rash and she said she has seen alot of hiv rashes and this wasn't from that so hopefully i will be ok and the rest of my symptoms are from something not hiv related

You have to take your test at your 3 month mark.  Now there is a very good chance you are stressing over nothing. A NEG. test at 8 weeks is a good indacation that your test at 3 months will also be NEG. As for your symptoms I recomend you see a Dr. about that because that does not sound like HIV symptoms.

Heres what you need too do. I know its hard but try your best to take your mind off of it intill you test at 3 months. Because more than likely you are stressing over nothing. And from now on always use condoms.

Obtain your conclusive test at 3 months post exposure and it will be conclusive.
