I went for ELFA test after 3 and 6 months. Both came negative. But now exactly after 1 year, I got sore throat and ulcers on my
mouth.Could you please let me know
1.what ELFA means ??
2.How reliable it is ??
3.Do I need to test again ?? - or it can be because of some other reasons -

The Enzyme-Linked Fluourescent Assay (ELFA) is a slightly newer version of the Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) test. Both work in a similar way but the ELFA has a window period which is about 5 days shorter than the ELISA test. Both are very accurate. This means your results are conclusive. You do not have HIV.
