oral issues.

Hi there Docs its me again. You can read my previous posts. But to recap,  on 3/19/10 with a 4 hour old inner lower lip bite/cut I liplocked a stranger (highly aggressive and promiscuous) with brief tongue for about 60-90 seconds. No noticeable blood taste. My question is this about 4.5 weeks later I had a dry mouth with  a white patch that was able to be scraped off on the roof of my mouth, it would come back and I would scrape it off again daily. I kinda conclude to my this might be candida infection. This scared me and I got tested with a (-) ATB test on 4/27/10 40 days post. It went away. I repeated the test again 5/10/10 (53 )days post. (-) again. Now, last Saturday after drinking a few glasses of lemonade with vodka. I see the candida is back again. Now its on my inner bottom and lower lips and in 2 places in the roof my mouth. Once again I can scrape it and there no sores underneath and it doesn't hurt. The patches are white in color and in away resemble excess tissue. But  as I researched I think its  oral thrush. I must admit I've been under alot of stress from work and seeing this stuff come back made my anxiety go up. What scares me is I read thrush in adults, Im 35, is a result of compromised immune system.
Questions:
1.) if the thrush was ARS my test would've shown up positive on day 40 day and even day 53? Can this be related to my kissing with cut exposure.
2.)  is  it true oral thrush, only appears in late stage HIV and it's too early for me?
3.) do you consider my 2 tests conclusive and no need for a 12 week test? Or should I go back in light of these new white patches in my mouth.  BTW all tests were done here in Kaiser Hospital in Northern California.
  Thanks for the help!!!!!!

You will get a single, brief answer and no more.  Clients are permitted only two questions in a 6 month period in order to allow others to have access to the site.

You do not have HIV.  The activities you described were no risk.  If you have thrush, it is not related to HIV.  While thrush is more common in persons who have compromised immune systems, plenty of people with normal immune systems get it as well.  Your were not at risk for HIV through the activities you describe, you do not have HIV.  The thread is now over.  EWH
