oral sex risk and flu shot

by jr978, Nov 04, 2008 04:28PM
I am a Gay male who gave oral sex with ejaculation and then immedialty spit out and washed mouth out after, what is the risk of hiv?  I believe I have good oral hygeine.......I was planning on getting an HIV test in one month, but I just got a Flu Shot and am also worried that getting a flu vaccine will give me a false result.  Is this true?

Thank you for your quick response....
I thought that the flu shot did not cause a problem with the hiv testing, since I am sure I would have been warned about getting a flu shot...but there is definately info on the internet claiming that the flu shot can interfere with hiv testing..
Thanks again for your help.

The antibodies produced by the flu vaccine inoculation will not be picked up by the HIV tests.
