greetings! first of all, thank you to all the moderators and staff here at medhelp that take the time to answer questions from worries fools such as myself, I greatly appreciate the wealth of knowledge available on this site.
I'm afraid however, I have one of the 'same old' questions, but unfortunately I have to ask :(
6 weeks ago I had an encounter with a CSW in Thailand, and while the sex was protected with a condom, there was some heavy rubbing or 'frottage' before the condom was applied. There was also unprotected oral (I performed on her, and she performed on me). As such, I went into see my Dr, and was tested at baseline + 4 weeks later for a range of STD's, as well as 6 weeks later (2 days ago) for another HIV test (4th generation eclia duo), and syphilis (tpha) test. Most of these tests came back negative, however on the 4 week visit, I did test 'weakly positive' for Chlamydia via a urethral swab. I was placed on a regimen of doxycycline 2x per day for 7 days to treat this. Strangely enough the Doctor never gave me an oral swab/test for any STD's, despite me telling him that I had performed unprotected oral on the girl.
During the last 6 weeks, I had been reading endless web pages and forum posts on the different risks involved in unprotected sex, and over and over I read that oral sex is not a risk for HIV, which did help put my mind at ease at not having any oral testing (despite the fact that I could have caught something orally other than HIV, more on this later).
Here's where the question comes in, the night before my 6 week test (exactly 48 hours ago now), I ended up hooking up with a transgender CSW. All sex was protected (including her performing oral on me), however I did end up performing oral sex on her for about 1 minute (unprotected T.T). Immediately after, I did notice a bit of throat discomfort, but I chalked this up as simply being due to the fact that I had 'never done that before'.
This morning (36 hours after the incident), I woke up with a slightly sore throat, and upon inspection in the mirror, I noticed what appeared to be some form of sore or ulcer at the back of my throat, on the 'soft palate' area of the roof of the mouth, on the right side. I also noticed what appeared to be a lump or possibly cluster of sores on the left side of the soft palate. I'm honestly not sure if this was here before, but I never noticed it while brushing my teeth recently. This evening (48 hours after the incident), the sore on the right hand side definitely appears to be some form of sore or blister, and it is slightly red around the edges.
At this point I'm thinking there's a chance I may have contracted a form of oral STD from performing felatio 48 hours earlier, but everything I read online claims that sores don't usually show up this soon (as I first noticed the sores a mere 36 hours after the incident). Because of this, I'm wondering if there's a chance I had an existing infection such as Gonorrhea or Herpes from my previous incident 6 weeks ago, and the brief oral encounter with the transgender woman could have caused this to become 'inflamed'.
So my questions are:
1.) Is it possible for me to have acquired an STD from the felatio, that would have symptoms showing up this soon? I am planning on seeing my Dr tomorrow for an inspection + oral testing, to confirm what may or may not be going on in my mouth.
2.) If the sores were indeed from the earlier incident 6 weeks ago, would the fact that I may have had oral herpes or gonorrhea at the back of my throat put me at a risk for HIV?
Thank you again for taking the time to read my (long and silly?) questions, as I understand the only way to know 'for sure' is to talk to my Dr and get tested. At the same time, I really really appreciate any insight or input from the fine folks here at medhelp when it comes to both of my questions, but naturally question 2 is the one that has me more worried.
