protein test which would eliminate the 3-month antibody testing period but that results would take 2-3 weeks. Does anybody know of any labs (i.e. LabCorp) in the tri-state are that have a quicker turn-around? Thank you in advance!
Thank Teak for getting back to me so quickly. While I have every intention of following up and then some I was hoping that I might be able to get a p24 antigen
test, or even an RT-PCR test, done in the meantime. Would you happen to know if that's possible anf if so where I could obtain one? I'm on the north NJ-NY border
I'd advise to listen to Teak and go for ELISA - according to the existing CDC protocol. PCR-RNA are subject to higher false-positive rates in comparison to ELISA. Living through the stress of a false-positive PCR with months of waiting for the conclusive ELISA ahead may prove to be an experience you wish you had avoided.
