painful, itchy lymph nodes

I am a 29 year old female, as far as I know I have not had any exposure to HIV/AIDS.  I have been having painful lymph nodes all over my body off and on for at least 6 months.  They are not swollen and the majority of the pain is in the back of my neck and behind my ears.  When they become painful, they also become very itchy.  I have no health insurance right now and am really scared about HIV.  Can anyone please help?

Lymph nodes with HIV are not painful and do not itch.

If you had any unprotected sex outside of a relationsip where you know your partner was negative then you should test. HIV can't be diagnosed based on any symptoms.
