painful lymph nodes

When someone has serioconversion, is it common that the lymph nodes will be painful and not swollen? Can only one set (the jaw, for instance) swell, or is it pretty systemic?

No, there is no pain with the lymph nodes when someone is infected with HIV. When one gets swollen lymph nodes from ARS they swell all over the body not just in one place.

When someone is going through ARS and if their lymph nodes are swollen, they are almost always painless. The lymph adenopathy observed during ARS is again, almost always, bilateral and generalized. which means you would see them swollen not just in more than one area and also on both sides of your body.  why do you refer to jaws? do you feel you have swollen nodes under your jaw?

I had one swollen lymph node under my jaw that hurt like hell, but also had a canker sore that may be the source. Also, now have one extreemely painful lymph node under my arm but it isn't swollen at all.

I have painless swollen nodes. first two days it hurts in my armpits but the swelling is still there.
below my ears it is visible.......

Lymph nodes swell for a thousand different reasons. I am just curious if your "swollen" lymph nodes have been diagnosed as such by a physician? if not, then you may not even have any swollen nodes. You have to remember that every lump under the skin is not a swollen lymph node.

I was a zoology student and I know the location of lymph nodes.
I know there could be  many resons but timing is such that I have to think about all this.
I was not touching to feel the lymph nodes........ it was a visible swelling and even a simple person can tell that there is a swelling.
In my armpits it was a size of a peanut and below my ears it is complete visible......
anyhow I have said I will not post again so I will just wait for my final test result.....

Hi,

I had exposure 2.5 months ago and now over the past 2 weeks my lymph nodes have been painful neck, arms and groin for 2 weeks they are not swollen (checked by 2 dr's)

I also have fatigue, nausea and dreadful burning feet for the past 1.5 months.

Dr's have run all the usual tests can't find anything wrong with me.

The painful lymph nodes and burning feet drive me crazy and it's hard to get a straight answer any help would be great thanks

My exposure was with a 1st time ever interaction with a csw.

Had protected oral/intercourse, although had unprotected hand job with protected prostate massage.

But during intercourse I lost my erection so she took my condom off as I thought we had finished. I don't belive there was futher penetration but I  not 100% sure.

Just concerned 2 days after developed a painful couple of months of prostatitus, so this cleared up with 2 months of doxy.

Just worried that I got prostatitus now these symptoms
