the owner and he started to bleed while holding the dog. AFterwards I was holding onto the dog and then was worried some of the owners blood was on the dog and possibly got on me. I didn't actually see any blood on myself and i washed my hands
attacks over this. The owner of the dog was a 60 year old guy. What are the chances if i did get some blood on me and didn't notice or getting something. The thing here to is i suffer from major health anxiety and am not sure if I am overreacting. The vet i was working with did actually get a little of his blood on her and she is not worried at all. Please help me
as for your risk no blood on you equals no risk my friend and also how do you think the dog owner would feel if he knew you where acting this way he went to you for help with his dog man not to give you something plus i doubt he even had hiv
Thanks for the responses- the thing is though I don't know if I got any blood on me-I did notice there was blood on the muzzle we used on the dog and that probably did touch me as i was lifting the dog down. I am just worried because i have little cuts and scraps here and there and if I I wash off any of his blood on me before i noticed. Can HIV be transmitted through cuts that are healed oer or do they have to be bleeding. I know I am probably being exremely neuotic-but I still feel scared
