probability of my HIV infection

I'm male of 34 years old. I have had a single episode sexual relationship unprotected sex with a woman in August 31 2011 and evening of same day i have had sharp head pain but it remains only 2 hrs and gone. I dont know about her status. I was sexually healthy and no STD at that time but from next day i felt mild burning pain in the top of my penis and same in urinary tract. So i took Metronidazole Tablet 400 mg for 7 days course (3 tablet in each day), Azithronyein 2 tablet of 500 mg, Cifran 500 mg of 10 tablet for 5 days course and Polybion 250 ml Vitamin B complex syrup. I used the above mentioned tablets without prescription of Doctor and i drank alchohol in the middle of Antibiotic taking. After 10 days of first exposure i felt mild fever, unusual (strange) headache like confusion and nervousness and physically weaken (numbness of arm and hand), tingling of feet including chest and back pain but no symptoms of flu, skin rashes, gland or other symptoms of HIV so far. Is this only side effect or cause of overdose / side effects of Antibiotic taking or symptoms of HIV? I'm very worried now and want to know about the probability of my HIV infection.

You had a risk obviously and you require testing. As for your probability of Hiv infection, well to begin with you don,t know if this woman is Hiv positive, she most likely isn,t.Then there is the fact that it is much harder to contract Hiv from a woman than the other way around and it was the first time aswell. If you take all these factors into account your risk is low, however i suggest you take an antibody test now and it will provide you with an excellent result.Test for other STD,s aswell and no those symptoms are not classic ARS symptoms.A follow up test at the 3 Month mark will be required for a 100% conclusive result. All the best.

Probability of getting HIV from a single event of unprotected sex is not high, though it is not zero either because HIV transmission is not a game of numbers and probabilities.

Since you had unprotected sex with soomeone, you were not sure about her status, risk is there.

Since its almost 3 months now, get yourself tested and obtain a conclusive result and move on with your life.
