question about UTI urine test and HIV

I had a urine test to screen for UTI. There was an abnormality detected - there were white blood cells and proteins present in the urine apparently. I had another urine test today, waiting for results. Can HIV cause white blood cells and proteins to be present in urine? I'd appreciate a response thank you.

The white blood cells in your your  most likely means some type of infection is present, originating from one of several places-urinary tract, kidney, bladder, etc.
This has nothing to do with HIV. The fact that you had protected sex means you do not have HIV anyway.
They will culture the urine to identify any microorganisms and decide proper treatment.

Well I can not answer that but the only way to know for sure is to take a HIV anti-body test at 3 months to get a accurate test result.
