question about needles ?
Hello,with regards to being tested... if the needle used extract the bloood for a HIV test was used to a patient befor (if this previous patient had HIV) is it possible for someone to catch HIV.. as you know the needle is put into the vein and then blood is extracted... so it goes up the needle my question is can HIV passed by this needle ??? tht enters the vein even though the blood flow is back up the needle????
secondly with regard to tht needle if there was HIV infected blood inside the needle befor use when you have this needle used on you and the blood extracted from your vein would the HIV infected blood in the needle go into the (cylinder thing that the blood was extracted into ) and therefor would the test come out positive or negativ ... or would the HIv infected blood not go up the needle into the cylinder ???
any help on clearing these question up would be appreciated

and at this clinic they dispose of the needle after the entire tests are taken e.g ghonoriah and hiv test then the needle is dipsosed of she may have forgot !

needles once used are immediately discarded..its an instinctive reaction for people workin in a lab like for instance you zipping up your fly after going for a pee...

the lady who done the test on me had left the room when she came back in.. i was worried she may have picked up an old needle
